Spiced chutney on naan

Method


  1. Place all the spices into a mortar and pestle and pound together.

  2. Heat the oil in a pan over a low heat and fry the spices for one minute.

  3. Add the tomatoes and sugar and simmer for 5-6 minutes. Stir in the fresh coriander.

  4. To serve, spread the chutney over the naan bread.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp coriander seeds
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 large tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander
  • 1 ready-made naan bread, warmed, to serve
