Roasted pears with honey ice cream and hot chocolate sauce

For the roasted pears, melt the butter with the sugar in an ovenproof saucepan, and stir until the ingredients have combined. Add the pear, orange and chilli and mix well.

Place the saucepan in the oven and roast for 12 minutes.

To serve, spoon the pears onto a clean plate. Drizzle the honey over the top and serve the ice cream alongside. Pour over the chocolate sauce and garnish with the mint.

For the roasted pears
- 25g/1oz unsalted butter
- 50g/1½oz caster sugar
- 1 pear, peeled, cored and quartered
- 1 orange, peeled and quartered
- ½ red chilli, chopped
For the hot chocolate sauce
- 50g/1½ dark chocolate, melted
To serve
- 1 tbsp clear honey
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 sprig fresh mint, to garnish
