Preheat the oven to 220C/425F/Gas 7.
Heat the Kirsch and sugar in an ovenproof frying pan until the sugar has dissolved.
Add the cherries and then transfer to the oven and bake for 5-6 minutes.
Pour into a bowl and serve.
1 tbsp caster sugar
1 x 400g/14oz can of cherries
1 miniature Kirsch
