Strawberry gelati, Italian style
Prep time 30 mins to 1 hour
Cook time 30 mins to 1 hour
Crush the strawberries and rub through a nylon sieve to extract the seeds. Stir in the lemon juice then whisk in the icing sugar.
Pour the mixture into an ice cream machine and churn until frozen or make granita style if you don't have a machine.
- 1kg/2¼lb fresh strawberries
- 250g/9oz icing sugar
- 100ml/4fl oz lemon (juice of approx. two large lemons)
