Spiced lamb with garlic, honey, red pepper dressing and herb salad

Method


  1. Heat the oil in a small frying pan and sauté the red pepper for 6-8 minutes or until soft.

  2. Add the garlic and fry for one minute. Stir in the honey then put the mixture into a blender or food processor and liquidise until smooth. Strain through a sieve and cool.

  3. For the lamb, drizzle the lamb steak with oil and sprinkle over the paprika and chilli flakes.

  4. Heat a griddle pan until hot, then fry the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side or until cooked as desired. Rest for five minutes.

  5. Arrange the herbs on a plate and drizzle the dressing around the edge. Serve with the lamb steak.

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ red pepper, deseeded, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 tbsp honey

For the lamb

  • 1 lamb steak
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • handful flatleaf parsley,
  • handful basil leaves,
  • handful chervil
  • handful mint
